We're excited to share the results achieved with one of our 35-year-old male patients who was grappling with advanced male pattern baldness. The patient put his trust in the care of Dr. Bonaros for a Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) hair transplant at our facility in Glasgow, UK.

3641 FUE grafts, equating to a total of 7640 hairs, were transplanted. Dr. Bonaros performed the extraction using a 0.85 mm motorized punch tool and sharp Implanter Pens for implantation. The grafts were placed in the frontal and crown regions to enhance hair density.

Graft breakdown:
1-Hair FUs: 800 grafts -- 800 hairs
2- Hair FUs: 1738 grafts -- 3476 hairs
3-Hair FUs: 1048 grafts -- 3144 hairs
4-Hair FUs: 55 grafts -- 220 hairs

3641 grafts - 7640 Hairs
Hairs/Grafts Ratio: 2.1

We have included images reflecting the patient's status before the procedure, immediately after, and the full one-year post-procedure outcome.

The result looks great, but can you clarify the graft and hair count? The opening paragraph states that there were 4,049 grafts and 12,260 hairs, giving a very impressive 3.03 graft-to-hair ratio, but the graft breakdown you have provided states that there were 3,641 grafts, 7640 hairs and a ratio of 2.1.

Hi @Fred2023 ,

Whoops, we had a little mix-up. The actual numbers are 3,641 grafts and 7,640 hairs. The mistake happened because we use a standard template for reports and accidentally left in numbers from our previous result here: https://www.hairlossexperiences.com/threads/dr-bonaros-glasgow-uk-4049-fue-grafts-0-12-months.13324/.

We just edited the post to reflect the actual numbers.
Thanks for helping us spot that!
All the best.

Amazing result. How many grafts were placed in the crown?
