Could you tell me the length of the patients hair in the donor strip zone on his 6 month update picture? At 6 months what is the density ratio?

It looks tapered so the length varies but I'd guess anywhere from 1.5cm to 2cm? He'll be coming back in February sometime. We'll ask what his normal hair length is. Density ratio? What do you mean?

Hi Janna, what I meant to ask is. What density is the patients hair at 6 months? And how much more can he expect?

4 awesome repairs with SMG
I especially like the hairline design and the naturalness of this result and already at 6 months the pictures show a huge improvement. Well done Dr Joe and Team.....great job!!

The density is going to vary depending on the location of the head. The number of hairs planted in each area also varies. It's difficult to estimate what the density is at 6 mos or any other time during the growth stages. What we generally tell patients is that they can expect approx. 60% of growth at 6 months. However, some patients get 70% by 6 months so that's why it's difficult to state what density he has at 6 months. I believe Dr. Joe was trying for a density of approx. 40 per cm2 when he achieves full growth. I hope this is the info you were looking for. Sorry for the late reply.

No, he hasn't but it's a good reminder to prod him to come in for another set of pics. Hopefully, he's not too busy. Thanks.
