Hi mate

I don't know what was said at consultation and by others you spoke to about a HT, or if you did. I would say if I were in your shoes, which I am to some extent at a NW 3-4 range, I think you are best to give up the idea of thick locks via HT and buzz your head to consider SMP for added density, as your genetic hair doesn't look like it has the potential for a lot of density. This said, your pictures are in the Sun, which highlights thinning so you may get away with the HT route but in the long run I wonder if all the costs of this will be worth the effort.

I don't know if you have shaved your head before your HT but it looks alright on you; I've done it myself in prep of what could be my future and I think bald can rock pretty good.

Another plus is that you have a good distribution for your Beard which many men don't, hence transplants. For some reason I find beard transplants weird but head HT I don't. Us guys put a lot of value on hair but at the end of the day if we are an average looking guy or a good looking guy, we will largely still be this with or without hair.

Best of luck

You have got an improvement. Is it where you thought you would be after your first hair transplant?

How many grafts does the doctor think you have left for future?

I like the bald look with the beard grown out, but the question is if my peers like it. I don't think so, it would make me look 10 years older than I am.

When going for the transplant, I was expecting it to be a one-and-done. I wasn't really aware of the extent of my crown loss.
How many grafts does the doctor think you have left for future?
Dr. Yaman offered a free second transplant with 1000 - 1500 scalp and 1000 beard grafts.
How do you feel about the results and the whole experience?
The results are far from good and my donor is almost depleted. It feels good to have some sort of hairline again though, which I can comb in a way that it camouflages the thinning areas along with some styling and hairspray. I will certainly do another transplant. It doesn't really hurt, but waiting for the growth month by month sure is tedious.

Ultimately, this needs to be about what's best for you. You cannot control others opinions of you. As many will think you look as good with as without hair. It's about what works for you. You said you like the bald & beard look, so you've answered this for yourself. What would you rather have... a look you disliked but others liked more or a look you like which more others liked less ?

Good for you Brother. At the end of the day we all style our hair the way we like best, that also looks best for teh hair we have. Having dense hair doesn't mean our hair will look cool, as its about the best style we choose with what we have.

Looking at yours, in the long term I would say your best style will be buzzed, which you said you already like, maybe a beard and if you do another HT I would look at SMP to give the illusion of more density. The buzz will also get people used to your new style and as you live your life you will move past the whole hair loss thing easier as others will stop noticing hair loss, if they even do really now and be more focused on you overall.
