This Patient came to SMG back in 2003. His 1st ht procedure was done by Dr. Paul Rose with 1946 grafts/3533 hairs. The patient was happy with his results for several years until he started noticing he was losing his native hairs. The main purpose of posting this patient's results and experience is to stress the importance of HT meds (Propecia and Rogaine Foam). This patient has started the recommended meds right before his second surgery to slow/halt further hair loss. Dr. Ron Shapiro performed his second surgery - 2011 grafts/3773 hairs.

These are his before and after:

The patient was happy with his 1 year results. Without being on any HT meds, the patient ended up losing rest of his native hairs on top. Here is his two year post op- the patient wanted thickening at the top to make up for any lost hairs.

Here is his progress from pre op to 2 years post op:

Following pics are after his second session of 2011 grafts - 3773 hairs with Dr. Ron Shapiro:

Looks great Janna.

I know this surgery was done a few years ago but has he been back in touch at all.It would be great to see pictures 4/5 years after surgery to see how they are looking.

Bit of crown work and he`d be well and truly sorted as his donor looked good.

Thanks bm.

With help of meds, this patient's results look exactly the same as the last set of "after" pics I posted. He is a local patient so he comes by once every two months to get his hair cut by Pamela. He is not bothered by his slightly thin crown.
