Finasteride treatment in the UK

43M here with a family history of male pattern baldness. I always knew it was going to get me as both my dad and my older brother are classic cases so it must be in the genes. I've tried Regaine for over 6 months and my hair continues to thin. Spoke to my GP who recommended finasteride but wont prescribe them as apparently they are cosmetic and I need to buy them??? Had a look online and it's roughly £1 a day which isn't too bad but the question is do they work? anyone have any success stories or pictures? apparently takes 3-6 months to work which means I'll have spent over £100 before I even know if they do anything!

Finasteride works for most men. Usually better for stabilising hair loss than regrowing hair. Expect to see results in 6-12months.

Yes it does work, will depend on your level of balding though. You can get it for much cheaper then£1 a day at Oxford pharmacy online if you choose generic version.

Hairless medication does not work on certainty so unless you try you will not know. it is FDA approved so it has gone through all trials to prove it does work.
