FUE hair transplantation - SMP
Once in a while patients come in for their treatment day(s) and want to make slight changes to the original plan. Most of the time we see that patients want to have the hairline slightly lower, or the temples closed further. Although these changes seem minimal to the patient, they might add up to hundreds of grafts more needed during a session.
This is such an example where flexibility was very important to achieve a hairline that was slightly modified.
The original plan had called for 1500 grafts in order to close the temples in a conservative style. However the morning of the treatment day it became clear that the patient requested a slightly more aggressive temple closure. An extra 400 graft where calculated and the new plan was passed on to our team. Our team is capable of handling the extra load because we always have a backup assistant. In this case the support assistant was called upon to perform some tasks to relieve the other team members. Furthermore it is important to keep the out of body time as limited as possible. Our extraction routines have been slightly adapted in 2010 in order to provide more comfort for the patient during FUE mega sessions and yet avoid increase in workload stress levels for our team.
As such we are able to cope with unexpected changes in plan and still fulfill the desires of our patient, obviously within reasonable limitations.

Arrival patient : 8:00 am
Start extractions : 8:55 am
End extractions : 12:35 pm
Lunch : 30 minute break
Start slits followed by implantation : 13:10
End of procedure 17:00
