This 33-year-old patient presented with significant thinning in the frontal triangular zone and signs indicating progression toward a potential Norwood Class 5 pattern of hair loss. His surgery was performed in April 2022.

Our primary objective was to restore density in the frontal and top areas while preserving the donor supply to allow future coverage of additional balding regions as needed.
A key element in managing a case like this is long-term strategic planning, ensuring a sustainable and natural outcome. This includes designing a conservative, age-appropriate hairline and optimizing donor management to maximize the total number of grafts that can be safely extracted over time.

At HDC Hair Clinic, we follow a strict donor‑maximization protocol. Each graft is carefully punched at the minimum necessary depth and extracted with meticulous handling to avoid damage to the graft itself, surrounding follicles, and tissue. This delicate approach minimizes scarring and is the the reasons the procedure is completed over two days.

Another important strategic choice is creating a natural-looking hairline without excessive density. Extremely dense placement can appear unnatural, place unnecessary stress on the donor area, and limit the patient’s ability to achieve full coverage in future procedures.

For this case, 3,800 grafts were transplanted. The patient is scheduled for a second FUE session soon.

A hair transplant is a lifelong decision. It is essential to conduct thorough research, focusing on the clinic’s recent results and ensuring that the same medical team responsible for those results will also be performing your procedure.
