I have been to the Hair Dr twice now. I found the first transplant did not yield the thickness I had hoped for. I found the initial experience fairly pleasant and customer service was really good. Also might I add the contact and response time via WhatsApp is second to none so great for support or advice where needed. On the day I was a little disappointed that the price was upscaled in the meeting with Dr Ashad before having the procedure. I was assured before hand following a review on the number of grafts and the price. It felt difficult to say no as I was due to have the procedure there and then. The actual procedure was okay other than a lot of pain when the pain killer injections were made and the area numbed. I found this experience much better the second time as the practitioner numbing the areas took a great deal more care and time when doing it. This resulted in only minimal pain. Much appreciated and the lady I can’t remember her name unfortunately but she was so reassuring and lovely throughout.
A lot of family and friends did not feel I needed a transplant however I knew it was thinning and would style my hair to hide this. It really affected my confidence. I was told at my first transplant my results would look amazing (I know this is not always 100% guaranteed). I was told by Dr Ashad that if it didn’t work to my satisfaction I could return in a year and get a free top up. When I did return this was not the case and I was charged. Although I appreciate this might be for the medication on the day it still felt misleading. I was also told beforehand there would be no additional cost other than the end figure I was presented with as it was for the medication only not the grafts. I accepted this as thought at least a lot cheaper than going to a brand new clinic and I knew there service and some staff. Unfortunately Dr Ashad did try to add additional payments to do more grafts again right before the procedure. I found this upsetting especially as I was already very nervous and apprehensive about going back. I said my main concern was a particular area where I needed it thickening. I asked to stick with the extra 500 grafts promised and not add additional costs. Particularly as I was told I was paying for medicines only and should not expect extra costs. (Second top up operation). Dr Ashad did agree to do the additional grafts in the end at no extra cost for which I was grateful. I have now left it 18 months before reviewing and I am very strict with regards aftercare. However despite two transplants I am
Still left slightly disappointed. Granted it is an improvement. It still looks rather thin and not as successful as a lot of other friends and individuals I know who have gone abroad. Overall I don’t regret going for the experience. However I feel it could be better. Overall good customer contact was great and the practice is local enough not to go far which was a big deciding factor. Just make sure you do your research and read all the reviews.
