Hair Setting Gel

Today's youth are using various types of gel for setting hair with style. do you think that these gels have side effect on hair.? and this will be a main reason for hair loss ?
Gel have chemical which may affect hair root.

A friend of mine used to use wet look styling gel at school and in college and he went bald very fast. I think it was more likely to be male pattern baldness, but I can only imagine excessive amounts of chemicals would not be great for your hair.

I think it depends on the product. But, honestly, in this day and age (in the USA), it's so easy to sue a company for negligence. I'd like to think that hair product companies (at least the established ones) are extra careful when it comes to side effects.
