Hair Transplant December - video diary - 4200 FUE DHI

Hey guys,

I’m new here and thought I’d share my journey. I’ve been documenting my progress and recently got into video editing so I thought why not post updates on YouTube. I had my transplant on Dec 16th in Turkey at a clinic called Elithair.

Keen for thoughts about what I should do about the crown I.e looking at it, how many grafts do you think I’ll need? I have plenty of beard hair I can use but they didn’t look at my beard at all to see how many hairs could potentially be taken. I’ve been told potentially 2000, but that seems a lot?

Here’s a picture of after the scabs came out, and then the next is sadly as I’m going through the ‘ugly duckling phase’ (1 month), which you can see in the next pictures.
The last picture is taken just now (2 months) after I took the clippers to it and think it’s looking a lot better!

I think 2000 grafts seems right. It's quite a sizeable area. Best to get multiple recommendations though from surgeons and see who best fits your needs.

Your crown is completely bald. For decent density you will need at least that, but since your midscalp is also affected judging from the pictures, I would say more. Probably 3000.
