.so as no one used a roller . the clinic gave me one . but im not sure about it so have never used it

I tried the derma roller in conjunction with 5% Minoxidil several years ago in an attempt to prevent my crown going bald. I applied Minoxidil twice daily and used the roller twice weekly. The roller makes small holes in the skin making it easier for the Minoxidil to be absorbed.
I kept this regime up for 9 months but continued to lose ground. I then stopped using both as I wasn't responding at all.

No problem Jake.
Just because it never worked out for myself does not mean it won't work for you. I looked at your thread on this forum about your transplant, I guess your doctor is hoping that the roller will speed up your new growth.

The derma roller on its own want do to much but is often used in conjunction with other treatments such as PRP, Minoxidil and so on, the theory is that it sends healing signs to the scalp and that some of the hair also starts to recored as well as increasing absorption when applying topical treatment such as Minoxidil. We do use it in our clinics when patients come in for treatments but didnt have much success with people using them at home, the compliancy rate was very low.
