Have I made a mistake?

Hi everyone, apologies if this is not the right place to post or if I have missed something etc.

I am just looking for some advice - I think I have made a mistake…

I went for HT on the 7th August but I did not do the correct research - I just went to a local clinic and the doctor impressed me so I booked in (should I name the doctor and clinic?). I honestly didn’t realise it was such a complex procedure, I just thought it was a simple in and out job. After researching after the op I now know it is much more than that.

I was given 768 grafts in my hairline to correct my V shaped hairline. Immediately after the surgery I was concerned that it was not dense enough and was not close enough to my existing hairline.

I emailed the doctor and he assured me that it would look fine when it grows in and to wait 3-4 months. He assured me that if there were any gaps that I was unhappy with he would fill them in free of charge. He is a genuine guy and has told me 3 or 4 times he will not leave me stranded, he will make sure I am happy with it all once we are done etc.

I am now at 4 months and hair is starting to come through but it is very patchy. I have a follow up appointment with him the first week in January.

I guess I am just after advice from you guys here and all your expert knowledge.

Do you think this will thicken up over the next 8 months? Do you think I will need more grafts? Would it be a good idea to trust this doctor with a top up? What should I be asking for in the follow up meeting?

I have no issues at all with the clinic staff or the doctor as people - they have been very communicative and helpful and professional etc., but I was expecting it to look better than it currently does. Obviously 4 months is still early so I may be worrying unnecessarily.

Any advice greatly appreciated, and if I have done something wrong I apologise.

I have attached photos of before, immediately after op, 10 days post op, 2 weeks post op, and 4 months post op (today)

Thanks in advance

Mick

Sadly, yes.
It was a poor surgery to say the least. You may consider looking for a doctor specialised in repair surgeries. All the best.

Do you have any pictures of your donor extractions?

How many grafts were? (sorry I can see 768) Unfortunately it looks very poor. Personally I would not even contemplate going back at all, look at Feriduni or Bisanga in Belgium, they both deal with alot of repair patients and are excellent doctors. You would need about 1,500-2000 for a good dense result in the area you are looking at.
