Have wigs changed from bad ones I remember?

I remember dad bought an awful one back in the 80s and I grew up with images of them being this obvious looking sitcom joke type item. Have they changed? Hate to think of walking down the street with people thinking "wig" when they look at me.

You can get some decent wigs now. They look realistic.

Wigs can damage or kill off hair. It’s not advisable to wear one after a hair transplant.

The decent ones I believe are usually glued to your head. I wouldn’t fancy wearing one that’s held in place by clips.
