Help! Urgent advice needed for daunted individual!

I had more or less decided to go with dr, farjo for fut (I have receded in the temple area). the price of £6k for 1600 hair fut is expensive but I guess I am prepared to pay it if he gives me the best chance of a good result. However, now I am starting to doubt myself e.g would I have a better chance of a good result with mainland clinic (more expensive and long waiting list though)? could I get the same result for less money by going abroad e.g bicer seems to get good reviews and is significantly cheaper.
i guess I am really looking for some experienced advice as I am finding all the information on the forums quite daunting. Farjo, maitland, bicer or any other highly recommended doctors.

One concern I have re: bicer is that although she does offer fut, she seems to specialise in fui and I can’t find much on the forums to give me confidence in her fut expertise

No one can tell you where to go but you can read their stories on this forum. In the UK both those dr are consistent and been around so you can see a lot of their work. You need to speak to the clinics and get a feel who you like the best and suits what you want to get done, like your hairline design. Different dr have a different take on hairlines so important they know what you want. Good luck

I do not think she does fut, you would need to contact her and ask directly. Ball and farjo both produce results that one would be happy with. Can you elaborate us with some details? Norwood level. Medications. Age. Pictures. If you have minimum loss, then why not go for fut? If you have a lot of loss, 1600 will not do much.

Hi kevboy. Thanks for the reply. none of the consultants I have spoken to have given me a Norwood level but I guess I would be 2-3?

Hi. Kevboy. Thanks for the response. I’m 45 and taking finasteride which seems to have stabilized it (although I have to say I have had permanent side effects which lasted even when I stopped taking the drugs for a few years - better to have gone bald I think). I think the recession came when I stopped the meds. I chose her because I was told by doctors that it was more likely to give me better results (that plus cheaper and no head shave made it seem like a no-brainer). I don’t see myself as ever shaving the back of my head short enough to see the scarring. Do you think I was poorly advised?

Bicer does do fut but she doesn’t seem to push it hard which makes me a little nervous

All the results are fue on her website, no fut anywhere. Your hair looks good, not much recession at all. I think something like this patient is what you need.

I waited for 45 mins then when i was seen i felt like i wasnt listened 2 and quickly shown the door but it could have been a bad day at clinic

I’m coming up to 5 months from an FUE procedure at Farjo clinic, so still too early to recommend them in terms of results but I can’t fault the clinic at all on the whole experience.
From what I’ve read Dr Farjo is one of the best when it comes to FUT.

That’s a shame you felt disappointed Philw - maybe it was just a one off abs a bad day as whenever I’ve asked folks thoughts from the Farjo clinic they always seem positive.

We don't have bad days btw we don't allow them.
I think this individual must be getting us mixed up with another clinic.
Feel free to ask him what we recommended in 20007 when we first met him Also on the many subsequent phone calls and correspondence since then.
This will be my one and only post on this subject because I know how poor surgery can affect people and that comes from personal experience.

I dont post on forums in general anymore but this post has prompted me to post- Dr Farjo is absolutely fantastic- I had my first consultation with Dr Farjo and Mick 11 years ago, had my most recent in June this year with Surgery now 3 months post op. I had FUE and the experience from start to finish was great. I previously had two ops with Feriduni so I can rightly say Farjo is an elite surgeon.

Hi im not saying dr farjo is a bad surgeon not in the slightest he is up there in my top 3
I think u might be right about me cos ive had bad surgery i probably wasnt getting the answers i was looking for
So felt let down
Just to clarify the farjo clinic are a top clinic,it waa just my opinion on what surgeon i felt comfortable with
