Hi RyanD922,

For androgenetic alopecia, you have the following non-surgical options: (1) finasteride (usually the first port of call); (2) dutasteride (if finasteride proves ineffective or starts to lose its potency over time); and (3) minoxidil. These treatments are mostly preventive, but it is possible to see some regrowth as well (some lucky responders even see marvellous results.) I hope this helps. All the best.

It would definitely be worth trying fin and minoxidil for a year and seeing how things go, especially as these treatments seem to be more effective on the crown.

There's also hair fibres for an instant cosmetic improvement.

I have had great success with Finasteride. It has helped me maintain my crown and reverse a lot on miniaturised hairs.

You can try using DHT blockers. These are products that either prevent Testosterone from being converted to Di-hydrotestosterone (DHT) or help block DHT from binding to your hair follicle. You can also start taking hair vitamins. These products promote hair development by either inhibiting DHT or providing the vitamins and minerals required for healthy hair growth. These products can be taken orally or applied topically.
