I know this has been mentioned before on other sites but i always find it interesting to read about surgeons who have had surgery themselves. I'm curious whether any of them have utilized body hair and which ones use meds but i suppose we will never find out;;D
hers some that have been said to have undergone a HT

DR KEN WILLIAMS Info now gone from his site, but per my notes it seems like he had a NeoGraft FUE per his older website.
DR MICHEAL BEEHNER Some great pictures in the right column as you scroll down.DR CHRIS PAWLINGA According to the text on that page, it seems like his partner Dr. Beehner did his transplant in 1994.DR WOLF This well known surgeon was operated upon by another well known surgeon (Dr. Ron Shapiro). Unfortunately, his website no longer has the before and after photos that it used to have.
DR ROBERT JONES One of the case studies on his homepage is his own. He also had some blog posts related to his own procedures in the past.
DR HITZIG I think his old site used to have that info based on my bookmark.
DR MATT LEAVITT Founder of MHR. His old site used to have his before and after photos.
DR GILLESPIE Mentions it.
DR R ROGERS Mentions it.
DR HABER I think his old site used to have that info based on my bookmark.
DR DORIN His partner Dr. True performed his hair transplant.
DR RASSMAN His blog post describes his hair transplant.
DR COOLEY I think his old site used to have that info based on my bookmark.
DR GOERTZ I met him in person once to get a Proscar prescription and he showed me his before and after photos.
DR MCGRATH Great before and after photo.
DR YATES His own hair transplant made a big difference in his confidence and life. A rare testimonial from an African American who hated his hair loss!
DR REED Mentions it.
DR REDDY An excellent write-up with photos of his own experience with hair loss, a bad first hair transplant (including shock loss) and a good second FUE hair transplant by his own technician.
DR FARJO Scroll down the page for his thoughts on his unsuccessful hair transplants with old technology.
DR BAUMANS DAD Dr. Bauman obviously might never need a hair transplant, but he did operate on his father with great results, so this is a different but still relevant to the subject link in this post.
DR PAUL SPANO Mentions it.

Interesting topic Bullit. Dr Feller has mentioned his transplant several times.

Both Doctors Hasson and Wong take Propecia/Proscar.

Not sure who performed Puig €™s hair transplant but €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦wow €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦did he look like an absolute freak. No wonder you never met the doctor until you were in the chair and it was too late. I often wondered why he would do what was done to him to others €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦you know kind of psychoanalyze the guy and try and figure him out. I would always come up with maybe he was feeling lonely and bad about what happened to him and he no longer wanted to be alone or something like that €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦lol €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..I know is that even possible. Who knows why people do what they do sometimes €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦surely it can €™t be just about the money. *nl

It's almost like the "cycle of violence" where the victim now becomes the perpetrator. It's interesting how people handle situations differently. If you look at the lady that formed MADD mothers against drunk driving...............she was a victim but she took the opposite approach and helped to stop what happened to her.

So now if a doctor had a really great hair transplant and wanted to do that for others I can see that................but the opposite.....................lol.................I mean really what's that all about? Makes you wonder.

Most will have been strip, the most recent doctors who have them will be a mixture of FUE and strip I reckon.

I wonder if most doctors would now prefer to have Fue for themselves.

If they are balding and haven't undergone an HT then don't trust them, they obviously don't believe in what they are selling, or they have really bad donor.

Dr Leonard has had one too, i just read an article on 7 news talking about it.

Below is the article:-

Forty-percent of men say they have noticeable hair loss by age 40 but new technology is helping patients restore their hair lines including a procedure using robotic hair transplants.
It's so successful it turned one Rhode Island hair doctor into a hair patient."I think he's been thinking about it for a while, for years but after doing this for 27 years I think he thought it was time, € Dr. Matthew Lopresti said.Time to do something about his hair loss.
"I've always been concerned about my hairline receding a little bit, a little at a time, € Dr. Leonard said.So once the robotic system called Artas came out Dr. Leonard trained on it himself.
Then he trained Dr. Lopresti, who now works in his office. "For him to trust me to do this is a great privilege, € Dr. Lopresti said.First, Dr. Leonard had to shave the back of his head so hair from that area could be removed and transplanted where his hair is receding.
It is removed robotically using a large TV screen. Everything is magnified, one hair follicle at a time removed."His procedure took about 6 or 8 hours, so it is more time consuming than the traditional method, € Dr. Lopresti said.
"The transplant was actually a lot easier than what I thought it was going to be. a real cool thing about it is I can really empathize what my patients have been experiencing all this time, € Dr. Leonard said. For those with long hair, a patch underneath can be shaved so no one has to know.
Dr. Leonard opted for a new shorter do. €œI've been told I look younger but it's a little unusual to have my hair this short but it's growing on me and I hope this grows a little faster too, € he said.Because the hair follicles are removed individually instead of an entire strip, there are no visible scars on the back of his head.
It's less invasive. There's less pain, quicker recovery and no sutures."Dr. Leonard will start seeing results at about three months. The hair that is placed will start to grow through the skin, noticeable, and by that I mean cosmetically it'll be noticeable in about six months, € Dr. Lopresti said.Dr. Leonard can expect to see full results in about 18 months.

From my camp: Dr Richard Rogers had FUTl, Dr Sebastian Deme had only meds and PRP, Dr Riad Roomi had a FUT hair transplant, Dr Thiago Bianco and Dr Nestor Pisano both only had medical treatment.

A bald hair transplant doctor that hasnt wanted to fix it with a HT or medication is like a out of shape personal trainer to me, doesn't make any sense!
