How much deposit is usually required?

How much deposit is usually put down to secure a slot for surgery? Also will it be non refundable?

I don't think there is a standard answer to this as many clinics that I have spoken to vary greatly on what deposits they ask for, it will be a case of asking the clinics you are interested in directly the deposit and cancellation policy.

I know some clinics will refund a deposit and some wont.

The deposit worked out just over a $1000 to secure the slot. I`m travelling across the continent taking in as much culture as possible. Long haul road trip.
