Your healing looks to be going well. The frontal scabs will come off when they’re ready.
Did you opt for a hat on your return to work?
Yeah I'm pleased with it.
And the front scabs have started coming off the last 2 nights so it's all good.
I bought a lightweight bandana for work which I've worn the last 2 days. Doesn't look great but I'm not quite ready to unleash my head yet! (I'm a gas and electric meter installer so I'm going to people's houses each day).
Hopefully won't need it next week.
I'll upload some more pics over the weekend. I'm day 9 today

Sounds good. The bandana is a good option with it not being tight and lightweight. Shouldn’t be much longer before you can ditch it.

Day 10. Most of the scabs are off now. The Itching has pretty much stopped. Front is a bit pink but understand it will be like this for a while. The back is still a bit sore to touch but is slowly getting better.

It looks like you’re healing well at 10 days post op.
Has the soreness subsided yet?

1 month update!

Most of the hairs have shed now as enter the dreaded dormant phase!
Looking forward to the redness subsiding.
Not sure if I've had a bit of shock loss in the donor area as looks more noticeably thinner than previously. Thoughts?
Still a tiny bit tender in places but not too bad
The middle part of the hairline is pretty numb.
Think

Hi guys. Just after a 'spot' of advice (bad pun intended)

I keep getting a recurring spot on the back of my head in my donor area. My wife said it looks like it's from where a larger graft was removed and it must keep getting dirt in the hole so comes up as a yellow head spot (today is the 3rd time in this specific area)
Is this normal and if so, is there any way to prevent it please?
Thanks

2 month update.
All going as expected which I'm pleased about.
The transplanted hairs that didn't shed have continued to grow and are visible up close, which is a bit of a bonus at this stage.
Still some lingering pinkness but it's slowly fading.
The back is still a bit thin and patchy but should improve.
Going to the barbers for the first time in a couple of weeks so will see how it looks with a skin fade

Went to the barbers today and got a skin fade on the back and sides (left the top)
I'm happy with the outcome and don't think it looks like I've had anything done.
It's still a little patchy but hoping that will improve slightly still? Don't really mind if not.
What do you think?

3 months today. All going to plan so far. Had another PRP session a couple of weeks ago.
Hoping to see the growth start now, fingers crossed. The only thing I'm a bit disappointed with is the donor area still looking patchy. What do you guys think?

Did this spot resolve itself?

It seems as though the hairline is beginning to grow. 3 months is about average for this. Your donor looks as though it still could have some shock loss, this should recover but I have seen it take 6 months in some people.
Have you been in touch with the doctor and asked for an opinion on your donor?

Hey bigmac. Glad you think the same about the shock loss, hopefully it recovers fully over the next few months. I'm due a catch up with them next week so will send these pics across and see what they think

Sounds good and good luck with the shock loss recovering quickly.

4 month update! Really happy with how it's progressing and getting compliments about it now, which is always good. Still a long way to go with it so should be really pleased with the final result! I've added a picture with my native hair pushed back to show the new growth better.
Need a haircut though and look at all those Grey's!

The growth looks to be coming in nicely for 4 months. Long way to go but you’ll get there. The donor looks untouched, it’s recovered very well. It’s good to hear people are giving compliments, this will be a great confidence booster to you.

Cheers Big Mac. I'm much happier with how the donor is looking now. Not sure if that's because it's a bit longer at the moment or if the shock loss is recovering. I'll get another skin fade this week or next, so will compare

The main thing is you’re seeing progress and you’re happy.

Different lights and hair lengths but I've put together a few comparison pics of the progress so far...
