Is it is necessary to get a prescription for oral treatments and where from?

Hi all

I'm totally new to this. My hair is thinning and has been for a few years. Not ready for having a transplant, think I could get away with just thickening my hair.

From what I've read, topical treatments are a faff, and I won't have time for that

Don't want to spend loads of money at a clinic for consultations & treatments either. There seems enough good advice and a good community online.

I'm sensible enough to do plenty of research before taking, start on very low dose, check blood pressure etc

I also gather it's very hard to get NHS to prescribe, though if you did, what would the benefits be? Safer, cheaper??

Main question is, do I need a private prescription and of so where would you recommened for that, and the drugs themselves?

You can use oxford Pharmacy online, Ive been using them for years- they do dutasteride, finasteride, oral minoxidil. I have got a private prescription from Dr Feriduni who did my first 2 HTs but getting one in your case from a doctor would likely be difficult so I would suggest Oxford pharmacy online.
