Is my donor area not good enough for a transplant?

My donor area has looked ok on previous photos but after 1 months growth the back and sides look thin and patchy in direct sunlight. Am I beyond the point of no return or can this be worked with or thickened? I would generally have my hair short at the back and sides with no1 or 2 blended.

It could be shock loss that usually takes a few months to recover.
