Is this hair loss?

Wondering if this is legit hair loss. If so, will begin on 1 mg finasteride every 4 days.

It’s very hard to tell from this single picture. Do you have a picture from a year or so ago?
What age are you?
Have you noticed any thinning elsewhere?
If you decide to start Finasteride, you’re probably better off taking 0.25 every day by cutting the 1mg pill into quarters.

Hard to tell with that one pic I agree... but if it is then it's only very minor....would love to see better pics.

@Bigmac @bullitnut I am 20. It’s difficult to tell if there has definitively been recession because there hasn’t been a rapid change. I have a picture of my hairline from about 12 years old, don’t know if that will help! In the mean time, I will upload some pictures from now in higher quality. Potentially some diffuse thinning at the front of the hairline? I can see my scalp when I shine my phone torch on it from above.

Most people will see scalp if under bright lighting. There is a chance your hairline is beginning to mature. This will cause it to change shape and lose some hair.
It does not look as though you are drastically losing hair. Keep a watchful eye on it for now.
I do not think you need to be on Finasteride just yet!

Your hairline looks fine to me dude, if anything it could be that its changed from a childs hairline to a more adult (mature shape). To me you don't look as if your loosing hair but obviously you will know better as it's your head and I totally understand the stress and worry.

I agree you don't need Finasteride yet pal. If your really worried though you could try a hair loss supplement like foligain although honestly your hair looks fine.... it's not as potent as Finasteride but I found it helped my situation.

@Techno1 @bullitnut cheers for the replies and thanks for the reassurance. Won’t start on anything yet but I’ll keep a watchful eye on things and take pictures every so often. The stress most likely comes from comparing my hairline to those with the ideal thick Norwood 0. Thanks for the advice!

Difficult to say, may simply be a maturing hairline. At the moment your hair looks great but you should check, for example, if the amount of hair shedding when washing them is not increased significantly. If you're not sure, it is always a good idea to visit a dermatologist to have peace of mind.

Your first image is not the best quality. It’s possible you’ve lost some hairs where I’ve marked in red. This could be normal maturing, in effect hair loss but not the extent you need to be concerned.
Just keep regular pictures every few months to allow you to compare.

I think your hair looks great.
I know a lot of us here would love to have the hair volume you have.

If you woud ever get the advice to start with finasteride, consider going topically, it does not show the sides that come with the tablet version.
