Hey guys just wanted to share my experience of my recent hair transplant. I visited HMRC which is Dr Michalis Georgiou. Flown into Cyprus and was greeted by my own personal driver for my stay so it was easy to get to and from the airport and clinic. This along with the flights and hotel was included in the package which was set at €1.7 per graft.
Procedure involved the lead nurse administering the anaesthesia which was honestly around a 3/10 for pain. Like a short bite and it was done. Dr designed the hairline and discussed my wishes before work commenced. The doctor uses only a manuel punch for the donor area and can do around 1700 max grafts per day. Head was broken down into sections and extraction started on the back (the most uncomfortable position) the following day was sides so much easier to lay. Nurse then extracted the grafts once the doctor had finished his small section. They worked well together in tandem and it seemed very smooth. Once she had extracted then she would separate and count using magnification. The doctor would then work on the recipient area and do all the punches and together with his lead nurse implant the grafts. At all times the doctor and nurse would use magnification which they stressed was very important especially when it comes to building the hairline with single grafts. The aim was to achieve a density of 70cm2 for the first cm and 50cm2 behind. I’m not sure how realistic this result will be however I’m hopefully of a positive outcome. Overall the experience was much better and less painful than I imagined and recovery has been very speedy. Not to mention this doctors offers unshaven recipient transplants however I opted for shaved as I’m comfortable with my hair short plus I wanted to ensure the best results. See some photos attached. Any opinions on density and quality of work would be much appreciated as I’m no expert by any means.
My only concern is that I remove the scabs to early on the hair line as you can see they was still red and sour however no hairs or grates was removed from what I can see. Around day 5/6 I think I removed the front and I’m not on day 11 and it seems 95% clear now.
