Just a short write up of my experience with SMG and Dr ron sharpiro, flew from manchester sat 24th jan american airlines, shuttle bus picked me up and took me to the country inn and suites bloomington, cost for the flight, hotel 3 nights and travel insurance £606 altogether not bad, the hotel was very good and friendly staff, sunday 25th hotel shuttle took me to the mail of america for bit of shopping the shuttle does not cost anything by the way, mon 26th day of surgery meet up with janna and introduced me to Dr ron, we talked alot about different hairlines and what to expect then i met the rest of the team what a fantastic group of people at smg i felt like a V I P, nothing was to much trouble, i was placed in the chair anesthetic inserted with a vibrating machine and strip removed i felt no pain through out the day, ron done the incisions while janna and the rest of the staff done the planting, watched the simpsons movie then chilled out to some music, near the end ron and janna fine tuned the hairline and i was given post op instuctions, shuttle back to hotel, tues27th back to smg for a hairwash and cut said my goodbyes and caught the afternoon flight home, the level of care was excellent and cant thank ron, janna and the rest of the staff enough would i go back again yes i would ¬b`

North Country Boy's surgery this past Monday with Dr. Ron Shapiro - 1/26/09

He wanted his hairline brought down 5mm or so and to thicken his frontal 1/3 and if any extra grafts remain - then address his crown. I believe only about 200-300 of 1835 grafts went to his crown. He is on HT Meds.

1's - 394

2's - 1061

3's - 357

4's - 23

Total Grafts: 1835 - 3679 Hairs

Thats an interesting case. How many grafts can u do in one session without shaving the recipient area ?

it looks very good

This is a phenominal case in that it is a pretty damn good size and such very clean work that the patient could likely be back to work in essentially a couple of days. I am pretty sure that I saw his work posted before on another forum. I wonder why he chose a different doctor? Looks like his hairline will be better refined and much denser to match his native hair. Great work. Thanks for the post.

Hi NCB

SMG do seem to be a class act - nice to see no shaving down for smaller sessions - who did you see for your first HT?

Hi tubs yes smg looked after me very well, reasons i went to smg

1 DR rons reputation with hairlines

2 did not need to shave down

3 stitches over staples, them staples were a pain in the arse, ive had stitches in for 4 days now and there great, hardly feel them

Hey NCB--- Congrats on thickening up that hairline and even getting a nice little dab in the crown---that will look very nice in the coming months.

Anyway, just wanted to wish you happy healing and look forward to seeing your progress in the coming months.
