New to this forum - how do I find the right clinic for a hair transplant

I just joined this forum and after some years contemplating whether I should get a hair transplant I have decided I want to take that step.

So what I really need to know is how do I find the right clinic to get a hair transplant. What should I look for? When they advertise they have won awards how do I know which awards are indicators of high quality results?

What else should I consider when finding a doctor who is highly skilled?

Awards vary. They`re usually a very small part for choosing a clinic. You could have 6 not very good clinics enter clinic of the year etc, the one that wins isn’t necessarily that good, just the best of that bunch.
Could you tell us more about your hair loss situation? Age, Norwood level, any hair loss meds etc.

I'm 54, I would say my Norwood level is III with the vertex starting, I use Hairgain which is a mixture of minoxidil and biotin (for about 6 months). I used to use minoxidil foam and spent a year using adegen products but I found it too expensive to keep using long term.

Also I have noticed a clinic that has been accepted to:
  • International alliance of hair restoration surgeons
  • American Hairless Association
  • Haitransplantmentor.com

Are these indications of quality work and care?
