Fue differs from conventional strip procedures by selecting a small proportion of individual follicles from a large section of the surface area of the scalp rather than simply removing a section of scalp and utilizing all the segregated follicles.

We often hear of concerns as to where to transplant the hairline which is appropriate to the individuals age at time of surgery with a view to the long term future and continued recession so as not to have an unnaturally youthful appearance.

Would it then be a potentially beneficial solution to unconventionally select follicles to the upper extremes of the 'safe zone' and implant them towards the forward hairline and in a semi temporary pattern in the knowledge that they will degenerate in time and allow appropriate ageing of the hairline in line with the residual follicles.

It would be interesting for experienced clinics and surgeons to address this proposition as to it's veracity.

Patients want a transplant to last forever, not degenerate.

there would be very few people wanting to do it this way and it would be very hard to do as you would have to make 1 complete hairline first with the correct types of hairs for natural appearance e.g the number of 1s and 2s. then the temporary hairline would need doing after with the temporary hair. although what you say seems possible, IMO no many docs if any would want to do this.
