Could dutasteride regrow hair and wake up dormant follicles if sufferer is Nw5 aggressive balding?. Is it worth it to start Any growth stimulants at Nw5???. Went from nw2 to nw4 in 3 months. I already take finasteride but started too late at (nw4) haven't got enough hair left All My hairs are now too fine and invisible. I'm not slick bald yet but close. Know about minoxidil PRP microneedling Lower level light therapy stem cell therapy and mesotherapy. But want to know if there is something Else out there more effective to regrow and meybe even thicken fine hairs if That's Possible i don't even think it is. Hair system or estrogen route HRT) is My last resort.

What you describe is very rapid hair loss that may not be linked to normal male pattern balding. You should consult your family doctor and have a health check to rule out any potential underlying reasons for this rapid loss. If it is aggressive loss due to DHT, then Dutasteride could help

If you get on Minoxidil twice a day and continue with the Finasteride you could potentially get some results in 4-6months time. Add some Nizoral 2% shampoo and leave on your scalp for 5minutes before washing may also help.

Finasteride (1-1.25mg per day) can thicken the diameter of hairs but i would expect you would need to wait at least 6 months for this to be evident.

Other than PRP i do not see many documented cases of reliable results with other treatments.

A month and a half isn't enough time to expect regrowth of hairs from finasteride. I agree with Bully's comment about seeking advice from your physician as to why you experienced such rapid hair loss. I also agree with Coopman on his advice to get on Minox and Finasteride and give it 4-6 months minimum. Best of luck!
