Paul, it looks really good. Having the miniaturised hairs survive adds to the naturalness. Not having to think about the old work is a huge stress relief for you. I’ll look forward to your next update.

Your sides are looking very good. I see the hair in the middle of your hairline seems to have succumbed. I would get a small touch up for that area. My hairline was very similar with the loss in the middle.

Thanks BM
I was thinking of that (one of the reasons I went for a HT to begin with, had that gap for a decade)
I would go very conservative on it though, just the back 1cm of virgin skin where I didn't have extractions done and using fine hairs, so if advances more it won't look odd

Sounds good. You wouldn’t need too many grafts in that area to give an illusion of fullness.

Hello everyone,

I'm happy to share with you my 3rd and final touch-up I had with Dr Ball a week ago

It went perfectly, and Dr Ball's expertise for such delicate repair work is, in my humble view, second to none

Goals / Steps:
  • remove remaining grafts from 1st botched HT in hairline -> 97 grafts were removed finally, most of them interspersed with my native hair
  • restock the donor with said grafts -> we chose the left side for this as needing more TLC
  • discreetly fill hairline gap
    • we discussed this at length, and even if for most men the central forelock is the strongest area, in my odd case it's the opposite. so we agreed to replicate a gentle thinning pattern with a small amount of grafts
    • ~60 grafts fine hairs (1s and 2s) extracted from side virgin donor areas, and those were used in the front central area (no lowering at all, on the contrary we went higher up in that balding patch area)
Amazing care from the whole team as during the first 2 surgeries and thankfully no unexpected issues in extracting these last remaining grafts

Photos to come in next posts for easily follow-up and timelapse, with timestaps

I will upload the professional ones taken by Dr Ball soon as well

@Bigmac can you pls unlock the initial post so I can edit the title accordingly to include this last repair?

Have a good weekend folks!

Paul
