Investigators seized three million doses of unlicensed medicine and 100,000 fake pills. Almost 1,300 UK-based websites were shut down.
Experts warned a rising number of Brits are being tempted by the dodgy medicines which often don t work and can contain harmful ingredients.
The major crackdown - codenamed Operation Pangea VI - involved 99 countries and netted £27million worth of illegal medicines worldwide.
Most of the fake medicines seized in the UK were for slimming, hair loss and erectile dysfunction.
Police, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency officials and UK Border Agency officers picked up thousands of counterfeits in Stockport, Glasgow, Birmingham and Watford.
Experts today warned the dodgy medicines do not work and contained dangerous ingredients. They said they were concerned about a rising number of the pills being sold online to people across the UK.
