From Replicel's website:

"Once these cells are replicated into the millions in a proprietary culture medium, they are re-injected back into areas of hair loss on a subject €™s scalp. It is expected that human scalp areas treated using RepliCel €™s process will show increased hair count and density."

In the video the CEO speaks about an average increase in density of 6.1% in 16 patients at 6 months.

My following comment takes into account that safety trials must be carried out before establishing the correct dose to use and then examing the results in terms of growth. I accept that this was only a safety trial.

Perhaps I am being overly suspicious but while the CEO only spoke of density I notice the theory reflects that improvements in a patients scalp should be two-fold i.e. hair count AND density.

I would also point out that while he spoke of transplants being limited by the skill of the surgeon (which is true amongst other factors) not all of his 16 patients responded positively to Replicel i.e. at least 1 had no growth.

For what it's worth I hope that they do find a solution. Any safe method which can provide a cure for hairloss is what everyone on this forum desires.
