Shockloss of existing hair
Anyone had experience of shockloss to existing hairs around the transplanted hair area?
Had a lot of hair in that area but now there gone.
Roll on the growth phase

Ho yes have I experienced that. It was really disturbing. It's only about a month and a half in and it's pretty horrid to look at. Takes a toll mentally.

Good to hear the shock loss is recovering and the early growth is very promising.

Ok exactly 6 months now and my hair has definitely improved still a little thin on the crown but I can feel a lot of little hairs coming through so hopefully it will thicken up.

It Will soon be 12 months from my last HT.everything’s grown in great, looks like I have a full head of hair now amazing for my age 58 it even looks better than it was in my 30s.
Stoped the oral minoxidil as I was getting heart palpitations still on fin x3 per week.
I’ll update with some photos soon as I have some.
This is all down to the Farjo clinic great work

Hello there. Hope you doing well.
Posting this after reading comments & really concerned about my shock hair loss on my doner area back of my head on my left hand side.

Its been 2months & on my doner area hair hasn't come back yet & I am applying minoxidil daily twice & its really concerning to me & I'm really embarrassed to out. Please do you know how many months it takes to regrow the hair on doner hair? I send the message to my clinic which is in Turkey & the clinic ask me not to worried. As per clinic it'll take up to 6months to hair regrow on my doner area.

How many months it take for you to regrow hair on doner hair? Would be much appreciated if you reply & post the photos of hair shock loss on doner area before & after. See my hair before & after hair shock loss on doner area.

Thank you

Hello I’m doing great thanks.

It would probably be better if you started your own thread on your concerns over your shockloss as I think you’ll get more people’s opinions reply’s.

In my experience shockloss can last up 6 months. I never had shockloss in my donor region though only the recipient site, some of my native hair never returned as it was on its way out anyway and I wasn’t taking DHT blockers like Fin.
To me it looks like your donor hair has been over harvested but I do think you need to give it more time as 2 months is way too early I would wait definitely 6 months.
Are you taking Finasteride and which clinic did you go to?
All the best Don.
