Some Clinics Are Desperate

Hello guys,

I did a fun experiment, just to see how these cheaper clinics responds when everything is going wrong, this one in Turkey, and probably goes for many cheaper clinics around the world. I said I am leaving for Istanbul tomorrow so I need a hair transplant on my 3 day trip. Things don't go well as you will see, but they still want you as their patient, I could have probably taken it further but got a little bit sad for the person answering.

Please do your research when choosing a clinic, this goes for so many low cost clinics using untrained techs for the whole procedure.

This little exercise you have done shows how risky it can be when booking a hair transplant. The price drop is comically, they sound desperate to book anyone in. Saying fever is no problem.
Everyone should do their due diligence. Get it wrong and you could end up with an irreversible outcome. If fixable, it could cost you a lot more than the initial surgery.

Its funny, I see this clinic being reviewed on a regular basis in a popular Facebook group.

I did message the most popular mill in Turkey, reviewed a lot, you can probably guess who it is, they had no problem fitting me in 1 day before, they also had no problem doing surgery on me with 39.5 celsius fever, "come by the clinic, the nurses can check on you, its no problem".

Many of these clinics I tried is wildly popular among Youtube/Facebook groups. They pretty much answered the same all of them. They also still call me daily so I had to block the numbers, they will do anything to have you as a patient.

There is lots of covert marketing that goes on. Simply mentioning a clinic constantly by anonymous online accounts makes people who do no research repeat the info/mentions being peddled.

Things can get way more tragic than a failed HT.

The UK's Foreign Office issued a warning a few days ago declaring that 17 Britons have died since 2019 while travelling to Turkey for medical purposes. Turkey is a medical tourism world super power. While there are many excellent clinics in Istanbul, Antalya, etc., there's also plenty of scammers (as it always happens wherever there is a profitable activity going on.)

The cunning of 'underground establishments' is quite astonishing, they open websites and social media accounts and project an image of professionalism and legality while remaining unregistered and carrying out their work in a completely illegal fashion.

The main concern when looking for any kind of medical clinic in Turkey should be to look for the following certificates and credentials:

• Turkish Ministry of Health Accreditation
• Medical Tourism Temos International
• ISO Compliance Credential
• Joint Commission International Accreditation

Patients should not contempt themselves with an online banner or certificate, as these may be spurious. We recommend checking the Health Services General Directorate to request the credentials of the medical service provider.

Well you are basically the same, total bs clinic. You could fit me in tomorrow, no serious clinic can book within 1 day.

Oh dear Mcan health. Practice what you preach.
I took a look at your website. For your information, FUE does leave visible scarring.
You claim your trichologist has worked there for 11 years and performed 10,000 hair transplants.
That’ll be 909 surgeries per year assuming she has worked every single day, 7 days a week for 11 years.
This equates to 2.49 surgeries every single day. Quite an achievement.
Would you care to explain?
