Steps I'm taking to improve my thinning hair and density

I was a Norwood 3 with a receding hairline and thinning crown, and nothing I tried seemed to work so I started a little experiment a little over 3 months ago where I tried different tools out there that are promoted as "hair loss" solutions and I also ran some health checkups to get to the core issue.

This is what I got in the end:

- Low scalp circulation
- Mild inflammation
- Nutritional deficiencies in biotin, vitamin D, and omega-3s
- A genetic sensitivity to DHT

These insights helped me get a deeper understanding of the full picture as to know what steps to take next so this is what I did:

- I increased my protein intake with lentils, quinoa, and collagen peptides
- I added omega-3s from walnuts and flaxseeds
- I started taking supplements with biotin, zinc, and selenium

For topicals I used a custom formula recommended by an app called MyHair ai, this was what I used:

- 5% Minoxidil: Applied twice daily to stimulate hair growth.
- Caffeine extract: To reduce DHT in the scalp.
- Vitamin D3: To fight inflammation and create a healthier scalp environment.
- Melatonin: To improve the hair growth cycle.

I also incorporated red light therapy for 10 minutes every other day.

I began taking 2.5 mg of oral minoxidil daily, gradually increasing to 3.75 mg (With doctor consultation, please don't start taking anything you read on the internet before consulting your doctor)

My hair count went from 53k hairs to 95k hairs, and I honestly believe I was very low on vitamins overall as I was also fatigued all the time and dragging myself through the days. I found it motivating to continuously scan my hair to check for improvement, but it's better if you don't do that everyday because then you get stuck and obsessed. I'd recommend doing so once a week or 2 weeks to space them out.
