Question to all docs, patient reps ,and patients, shockloss is a concern for all ht patients, does either method of planting grafts do a better job at preventing shockloss, stickn place is where doc places grafts right after slit is opened or traditional way ,where doc creates all the reciepient sites and later the techs plant the grafts, question 2 if a patient has grafts placed in only the front third does he or she risk shockloss in areas not worked on.thanks for reading guys

Hi Sad!
Hope you're having a nice summer.

Question #1. In my opinion, it wouldn't matter, both methods can cause shock loss. Shock loss isn't common if you utilize the refined techniques in FUT Strip and FUE procedures. Refined technique include - using smallest incisions possible, good holding solutions, and Liposomal ATP. With these techniques you decrease your chances of shock loss and better graft survival.

Question #2. I'd hate to break it to you but I'm afraid the non transplanted areas are just as susceptible to shock as the transplanted areas. It's possible that treatments like PRP or being on Finasteride and Minox can lessen your chances of shock loss.
