Timeline of a micropigmentation patient

Time line of a micropigmentation patient. Performed by a company that has set the standard for innovation with their patent pending procedure.

For those that don €™t know applying for a patent pending designation is about $100 and trademark costs you about $150. It means jack shit but it always does sound impressive. I have always admired the term €œproprietary formula € myself, ;)

My scar is similar and I plan to fix with pigment (SMP) as well. A good point you bring up: the fix will not be perfect, but who's head is perfect. I, too, want to use a 3mm guard to cut my hair, but cannot because of my damaged donor area. Hair no longer matters to me.....just want to buzz my head once a week and live my life; who cares about having a full head of hair anymore, not me! In fact, waking up and not using gel and concealer will save an enormous amount of time. Plus, all the issues of the concealer rubbing off on the pillow, explaining the damaged donor areas to my date: this is not a fun event.

After over one year of assessing my whole head pigmentation from ************ I can say it has been a failure. The dots have turned a blueish hue which have been validated by several reputable doctors that have no future in treating me: Dr. ***** and several laser clinics even my own MD asked me if (I did the tattoo work myself!) -- how embarassing!
Perhaps micropigmentation can be used as a filler, with real hair as the major concealer for scars. But as a sole solution to hair loss.........no chance my friends. Anyhow, I hope this blog can help someone. My best recommendation is to do tons of research

Of course to be fair some clinics claim their ink does not turn blue and the reps have had the procedure themselves and that does matter at least in my book. I would suggest only doing a very small area as a test for at least 1 year. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

I thought I had replied to that thread long before the poster had the procedure as that particular tattoo outfit didn't seem right to me. I have posted it below. The point being regardless of what you decide to do as far as addressing your hair loss, if you have a gut instinct something doesn't smell right just walk away. You have to muster the courage even if you are in the chair to just get up and walk out. Taking more time to think about it is never a wrong decision.

I think the tattoo is a very bad idea. Maybe for a small scar it might be acceptable. But these guys that get their whole heads completed I honestly believe they will be suicidal in about 5 years, that's how strongly I feel about it. I do find the AC site interesting in the way they try to market it. You have some guy that when he speaks does not impress me as being too intelligent and maybe that's why they keep his speaking part to a minimum. He is a tattoo artist and I know quite a few and all of them are inked up and they all have the same level of intelligence. I know I am being judgemental here but I think it matters. They try to portray him as an engineer designing needles, as a physician with his scrubs and white coat and almost as a scientist developing inks. Sorry I'm not buying what they are trying to make me believe.

Well I made a point of thanking that poster for being a man and coming back to warn others. As we all know most do not do come back as they are now dealing with their own issues and they certainly don €™t have the time to worry about anyone else. But what he did was show some integrity, he made the time, part of being a man in my book.

It's very easy to take advantage of people much harder not to.

In my opinion there are only 2 viable methods of hair restoration outside of medications. Depending on what your goals are either fue with a small hand punch or strip. There are in my opinion a total of maybe 10 top clinics in the world offering either or both the rest are shit and I'm not trying to be mean just real.

Those that are not in that top 10 bracket I certainly do not have anything against and I and probably can be friends with most of them. I have friends that drive a piece of shit for a car, I know it and they know we laugh about it and were still friends. As long as no kids are going for a ride in it, it's all good. ;)

What I really found interesting was all the associations this particular artist was making with people and organizations.............that's always a clue for me.

But what really stood out was that he actually lists the pinstripping he did as a teenager on his resume.
Well if I ever want to get my head pinstripped I'll be sure to give him a call ;)
Really what is up with this industry, is the money really that easy?
