I’m new here in the forum and I hope to get your opinions/help/advice regarding my hair transplant (HT) or next steps.
Im 45 years old male based in UK not taking any mediations or treatment related to hair loss. My hair loss was slow and gradually come to the point as in attached pictures. I have read thought some posts in this forum and it suggest that we try we options such as mediations or styling before actually deciding on HT so want to ask where do I start based on the pictures ? I am already on daily blood pressure mediations so want to avoid add another mediation such minoxidil to daily list now or after HT.

Cam any suggestions/ recommendation on Doctors or Hair transplantation centres in UK, Turkey and India. I am trying to explore the options in Turkey or India because of budgets. I have sent these pictures to few HT centres in UK and India and some suggested I would need 3000 grafts and other suggested 5000 graft HT.

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Regards
Nas

Hi nas,

I would say the first step for you would be to talk to a doctor about getting on Finasteride for at least 12 months prior to proceeding with a transplant. I see you mentioned you're on blood pressure medication so I can understand not starting oral Minoxidil, but I doubt Finasteride would be an issue.

Have at least 3 or 4 in person consultations with different clinics and have them examine your scalp for any underlying issues and see what they think of your donor area, don't let the price dictate where you go.

Joe Tillman's videos and website really helped me when I was researching and I'd advise taking a look as a starting point. He also has a number of listed Dr's in the UK and Europe.

The grafts you would need would all depend on what you want to do.

I would suggest just having the front done and getting that right to frame your face. At 45 most men have some hair loss so the crown would be of left if you wanted to use less grafts.

You could always have that filled in after
