What formulations do you supply, as well as cost? How does one go about being supplied by yourselves? Thanks

You can learn about the various medications and complete an on line consultation
here.
Following in-person or remote consultations, Dr Ball is able to prescribe oral minoxidil, oral finasteride and topical combinations of finasteride with minoxidil in various strengths.
Prescribed medication is dispensed and shipped from an excellent compounding pharmacy which produces really high quality products that can be tailored to each individual patient.
The dispensing prices are kept low because we are keen to make it easy for our patients to access safe, high quality, personalised hair loss medication with the benefit of support and guidance from Dr Ball and our nurse trichologist, Marta Teixeira.
Hair loss medication can easily be obtained from numerous on line pharmacies and men’s hair/gut/sexual health brands. However, we are keen to offer a more personalised approach with a focus on patient safety and education and a long term management plan .
We all differ in our hair loss, general health, response to medication and susceptibility to side effects. This is why Dr Ball is keen that his patients are provided with a personalised treatment plan that is tailored to them as individuals.
The general approach by many on line suppliers of hair loss medication is to provide a “one size fits all” service. Dr Ball is keen that his patients are well informed about risks and side effects, know how to monitor their response to medication safely and have access to quality medical support throughout their treatment. This ensures that they are on the best medication for them as individuals and are able to tailor the strength and composition of treatment according to their response or their experience of side effects.
Some of Dr Ball and Marta’s patients are nervous about potential side effects and so they may prescribe very low doses of finasteride. Patients will then have the opportunity to request gradually increasing strengths as they build confidence in their treatment over time.
Sometimes patients require higher strengths or bespoke compositions of topical medication. Dr Ball and Marta are able to work with our pharmacy to create various combinations and strengths of evidence-based drugs.
Some patients make use of our ability to carry out the
genetic Trichotest service. This provides a detailed report on your genetically determined likelihood to respond to various hair loss treatments. This can help inform our decisions when creating a personalised treatment plan.
