One of our New Year's Resolutions is to include a bit more video footage within our before/after presentations. We'll kick off 2016 by presenting this female patient of Carlos K. Wesley, M.D. who underwent a follicular unit transplantation FUT with our team.

Wow this looks amazing...especially considering the amount of grafts used, she has superb growth too for six months. Can she expect much more?
She must be thrilled with this, what was the reason for the loss in the first place?

Thanks for your comments, bullitnut and Nightowl. This patient had FPHL, but with a MPB distribution. Hair restoration surgery to address the thinning in the recessions can result in even earlier growth with the use of platelet rich plasma (PRP) as a graft storage solution. It is not uncommon to see early growth as soon as 4 months postoperatively.

PRP certainly seems to work for certain individuals promoting growth and healing. Dr Wesley would you say females are more responsive than males to this treatment?
