Ways to reduce scar redness

Whats the best thing to use to reduce redness around a strip scar? I tried Aloe Vera gel which has not made a difference. I think I have a sensitive scalp to start with as some shampoos irritate it quite bad, Nizoral being one of them.
I'm not sure if my scar has stretched as I was advised on another thread that the redness could possibly make it appear wider than it actually is.

Are you in the US? Mederma or generic scar creams found in US pharmacies are supposed to be helpful in reducing the size of the scar. I'm not sure if it says it'll help in reducing the redness, however. Did you apply antibiotic ointment on the scar right after surgery? It would be ideal to have the scar looked at by your physician if you think it's redder than it should be.

I live in Belize, I'll check if the suppliers you mention will ship here. I did have a gel of some sort in my aftercare pack which I applied for several days to the donor closure line. I had a reply from my doctor saying it's probably my physiology causing the redness to linger and to wait one more month.
