Hi all,

This gentleman came in for a hairline repair procedure to soften the pluggy result he received at another clinic 10 years ago. The Westminster Medical Group team repaired him by selecting 654 single FUs to create a softer more natural look.

Patient is very happy with his repair and no longer sports a fringe to disguise the hairline.

Do you have any photos post-operatively that aren't using a flash? Flash tends to soften the details. Obviously there is an improvement but an apples to apples comparison would be more revealing.

Hi baldasbadger10 - we're beginning to see a sharp rise in hairline softening procedures of late, including FUE donor repair via SMP.

Dr. Rogers also performs many FUT scar repairs using the trichophtytic closure technique.

Whilst we can't make everything 100% perfect, we can significantly improve the visual look

We're now using the UGraft Zeus system and are looking into utilising nape hair which is even finer. Finer hairs need a more delicate touch when transplanting typically.

I'd seriously reconsider this approach as in the past 20 years of being in this field I've never seen anyone consistently harvest nape hair with any degree of success.

Often very fine hair grafts get impacted inside the punch when cherry picking. The UGrafts fluid expulsion system may help with this. Dr. Umar has has been using the Zeus system with nape / finer body hair to some success... consistency is the challenge though!
