Hi all,

This gentleman came in to tweak his facial hair density with the Westminster Medical Group team in London.

Our patient was very specific with having a David Beckham style beard :)

Details:
Patient 29 years old
FUE technique
Total grafts 732

Here's his 12 month review photos:

Had to do a double take for a minute, he looks a lot like Mr Beckham in the side profile photos. Will there be any difference in growth rates between the new hair and his native beard hair?

Hi Risingforehead, thank you for your question.

Beard and scalp hair both grow 1/2 an inch per month on average. It will take 6-12 months for all the newly transplanted hairs to grow.

This is the type of beard I want. Was it all scalp hair or a mixture consisting of body and scalp hair that was used?

Hi Bald Beard, thank you for your question.

Suitable donor hairs were selected from the traditional hair transplant safe zone. Typically the beard consists of single hair grafts, so we split the double & triple hair grafts to single follicles.

Exceptional work! Never understood the whole wanting a beard transplant concept myself as facial hair irritates the hell out of me lol.. .that being said it is currently very fashionable so I get the demand and this does look good guys well done.

@ bullitnut - we've had a couple Norwood 3-4 gents come in preferring to restore their facial hair rather than their hairlines!

Different strokes for different folks indeed :)
