Hi,

I had a similar response ( if not better ) to meds some 10 years back. I was extremly happy with the results unfortunately the sides meant I had to stop.

I can only go by my own epereiences but I say they work, but you must be patient, sheds do occue but just stick in there and if you do not suffer from the sides, you will see a positive outcome.

I was on Fin then switched to Dut to try and avoid the sides, both worked wonders, but the side remained.

Been reading the forum all day long, just read through this whole post. What a massive difference in your before and after photos, a truly great response to the meds, its very similar to Sun123's results.

Thank you for sharing and documenting this.

Reviving this old thread as its now been 4 years since I started taking meds, I've only used the minidoxil once or twice a week and nit the tablets at all, however I've just recently noticed it starting to thin a bit but nothing serious but I'm looking to get some more tablets so I'd El Niño still frequents this site and has the details for the fincar I'd be ever so grateful if you could reply with it.

Hey dude welcome back buddy, hope your keeping well. Your hair looks to be holding up well from the picture. Inhouse pharmacy sells Fincar buddy, just beware they have a customs charge though if your in the UK and spend over a certain amount.

Here is something that has been working very well for me and I am just a month into it...

Here is my nightly protocol -

Start with Rogaine foam (vasodilator)
Topical Fin (prescribed by Dr. Shapiro)
Finish with Latanaprost Foam (better known as Latisse)

This protocol had a quick dramatic effect for me... Here is some info on the Latanaprost foam.

Latanaprost- A double-blind scientific study published in the May 2012 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology has found that latanoprost, a drug that mimics naturally-derived compound molecules called prostaglandins, significantly increases hair density on the scalp after 24 weeks of treatment in young men with mild hair loss. Latanoprost, like the eyelash restoration drug bimatoprost (better-known by its brand name Latisse), has been used to treat glaucoma. And like bimatoprost, latanoprost has been used to treat eyelash alopecia. The scientists who conducted the study sought to determine if latanoprost could stimulate hair growth when applied topically on the scalp.

Hi Loki. I'd like to hear more in your regimen. It would be apgreat if you could start a topic on it as topical Finasteride is something I get asked about a lot.
Cheers Bm.

Did you change your regime to combat the hair thinning?
