Hello folks,

As a surgeon I will try to elaborate a thing caught my eye on this matter scrolling. I will try to clarify things for you as much as I can.

Everyone know when considering a hair transplant, it's important to understand the importance of proper aftercare in order to achieve the best results. One of the key aspects of aftercare is being mindful of when to cut your hair after the procedure.

After a FUE, the transplanted follicles will take around 10 days to fully settle and seal themselves with the skin. It is crucial to wait until this process is complete and the scalp is free of scabbing, scarring, and redness before getting a haircut or wearing a hat/cap.

For the 1st month, it's important to be extra cautious when washing and drying your hair. It's best to use a specific shampoo (now I won't mention a brand) and avoid using a hairdryer. Instead, gently dry your hair with a towel.

It's also important to note that the hair you already had before the transplant may start to grow at a faster rate than the transplanted hair. If you don't like the appearance of this difference in growth speed, you can get a haircut, but only for the donor area, not the transplanted hair. It's recommended to wait at least three weeks before getting a haircut.

During the second month, the transplanted hair will begin to grow, but it may appear thinner than the rest of your hair (Shock Hair Loss, it is completely normal.) Fresh hair will fall out and grow back with higher density and thickness, once you have grown back your thick hair after the shock hair loss, you can have a haircut, but it is recommended to use scissors instead of shaving machine, as the transplanted grafts are fragile and the shaving machine might injure the transplanted hair follicles.

It's essential to follow the aftercare recommendations given to achieve the best. Wait until the transplanted hair has fully settled before getting a haircut guys. Will be around if you need any further assistance!

You have to wait until the crust sheds. I do not recommend that you stone the planting area in the first 6 months. But, thank you for the information

It's good to hear that there are times when your symptoms improve and your hair shedding decreases.

Grafts are secure at 4/5 days post-op. You are fine to cut your hair 2 weeks after surgery providing you’ve no issues with your healing.
