Will Smith slaps Chris Rock was there another motive behind it

The news is rife with Will Smith slapping Chris Rock for making fun of his wife’s alopecia. I think it looks staged but my main reason for posting this is to point out Pfizer are due to release an alopecia drug, they were the main sponsor of this event and what a way to get some alopecia publicity.

It is a big coincidence that Pfizer are the sponsor and that drug needs some PR. I thought it was a staged slap. Will it prevent bald jokes and ridicule, I doubt it.
