Has anyone on this forum heard of Spironolactone? More specifically, are there any current users?
I did a search but the last mention of it i could find was 2012, and there's an old thread by BigMac from 2009 but I thought i'd start another instead of bumping a 7 year old thread!

I'm interested to add it to my routine however i'm surprised at the lack of info on it. There doesn't seem to be an S5 cream readily available from anywhere really, does anyone know why this is?
The studies seem nothing but positive, close to the same DHT inhbiting properties as Finasteride but applied topically, with zero notable side effects.
The following link (link removed) is where i've seen it mentioned recently.
Have a look at this here and see what you think, is this all just marketing for them to try and sell their product or does this compound have real potential?

Hmmm, interesting. As with everything in this extremely clouded industry it may not be as clear cut as they'd like you to believe.
I'll do some more reading on it. I reacted badly to finasteride which is why i'm considering this as an alternative but if it's got any real potential to affect test levels as much as that guy was claiming then i'll stay well clear.
However there was another guy in that thread who said he'd used it for years with no problems... Got to remember the guys on that forum are taking anabolic steroids also which completely stop natural test production while on cycle.

Not seen many threads on topical use for hair loss but I wouldn't advise taking high doses orally as it has strong anti androgen properties I believe (used in transsexuals) as well as having diuretic properties and being good for acne;)

I know it's prescribed in lower doses to men for issues with urination though as my dad takes it and is still bald as anything.;;D

Yeah I definitely wouldn't be taking it orally.
Looking into using this topically and it all sounds great but I'm just a bit concerned as to why it isn't massively popular on this forum or the other forum I post on?
Anti DHT properties similar to finasteride and no noticeable side effects? Strange to me that this isn't equally as popular as minoxidil as a topical. And that thread regarding testosterone suppression has made me even more wary of it...
