Hi ImJustAGuy.
Dr Anderson is a very capable doctor but I think you should consider other clinics for your repair. I believe he only offers Fue with the Artas robot. On his website I can’t see any repair patients or patients with their donor extraction patterns on show. The Artas examples all show the donor with long hair and the patients look as though they had decent donor prior to surgery.
I`ve watched a few live surgeries with the Artas on a number of occasions. One issue was it could only extract grafts from certain areas of the scalp, sweet spots. Other potential areas for harvesting grafts were not an option unless a hand held device was used. It may have changed/been updated lately which is worth asking.
You have a somewhat depleted donor where the grafts were previously extracted. Your sides were untouched. I think you are better suited to a hand held FUE extraction surgery or even an FUT surgery.

I would be prepared to travel for the right clinic which I know adds more cost but you want to be sure you make the right choice this time around if you do go for another surgery.
If you could refresh on what Dr John Cole from Atlanta offered? He has countless repairs under his belt and based in Atlanta too. He just opened in New York if that’s a better location for you.
Exosomes for hair regeneration/hair growth are still in their infancy compared to other treatments but there are some very positive vibes from world renown doctors about their use and benefits. With it being a fairly new treatment, the costs aren’t cheap.
If you decide to shave your head, you could try laser treatment to smooth out the scalp and remove the unwanted grafts.
