Can you shave you head after Hair transplant?

Hi, let's say I have 1000 grafts for a receding hairline. If I decide to shave my head down the line, for one reason or another, is that possible or not? thanks

Down the line you can but the FUE scars will be visible to some extent.

well as it is only 1000 grafts and the back of the head, I guess scars are not a big issue for me. I do go to a good surgeon also

This is probably my biggest concern. The discussion has been about scarring at the back, but I'm also worried about the front. Given the difference in density, when the hair is shaved, will the transition from transplanted to native hair be smooth and natural or will it be immediately obvious?

The donor scarring will depend on the punch size for extractions and the distribution of extractions. If small number of extractions are spread apart in a the whole donor area and the punch sizes are small, there's a good chance the scaring won't be noticed after shaving down.

Whether you notice the transition area between native and transplanted hairs will depend largely on the expertise and experience of the ht doctor.

No, staying inside the safe zone is very doable for a 1000 graft size case that produces nearly undetectable donor scarring. The dr needs to be experienced and skilled who uses the smallest punch sizes.

Yes, in the donor site. The recipient site should be ok providing there’s no complications after surgery.
