Is the timing of growth down to each individual or does the Dr/ clinic play a part ???

Hi all,
Is the waiting game on growth following a procedure all down to each individual or does the Dr / Clinic play a part ?
I’m probably correct in saying each individual is different - however at the moment It just seems that individuals who have gone to certain clinics seem to be stressing as they are quiet far down the line with little growth whilst patients who have had a procedure at certain clinics are seeing really good early growth !
Maybe a total coincidence however I would be interested to know if there are methods in the procedures that seem to get earlier / possibly better growth ?

Grafts are fragile and easily damaged. The doctor plays a part in the outcome of hair growth, if they’re not careful, being heavy handed with the grafts, they can squash them, if they’re not put in correctly the chance are they will not grow well. Clinics use a special solution to keep the grafts stored while out of the body, maybe that could be good or bad. According to studies grafts have a better survival rate if kept chilled. Drying out/dehydration is another factor. Same with the patient if they bang their head and bleed it could affect the growth around that area. There is a lot of factors that go into a successful hair transplant surgery.

I would say almost all clinics post their results and the benchmark is 12 months for a result roughly at least, but many clinics will say 12 months. So, it’s fair enough for us to judge and assume that a clinic is suggesting 12 months to gain a result as they post results using that benchmark. Of course people are people some may grow faster or slower but probably they are not the normal and when you get a load of results that follow a trend then it could indicate a problem somewhere.

You have to do you due diligence, plenty of research and choose a clinic you’re comfortable with. Aspects such as hairline you may prefer one clinic over another. What is uniform in any and a must is consistently good results overtime. This reduces the concerns and risks of poor growth

Each and every patient has their own physiology and will therefore heal and grow at their unique rates so there will always be individual factors and influences between one patient and another.

Having said that, we have seen in our own patients that a good percentage are able to achieve impressive early growth after surgery with Dr. Bisanga.

In various bitesize videos when this has been discussed, Dr. Bisanga has alluded to the fact that he believes that this is due to how grafts are extracted, manipulated/handled, placed and generally respected throughout the entire procedure.

I have seen graft extraction from clinics whose objective is clearly speed and the way that grafts are pulled will immediately add a degree of trauma and influence the follicular hair cycle. In making every graft count and handling grafts with the upmost of care in both extraction and placing enables a smoother transition for the grafts.

As detailed by bigmac, storage solution has been discussed as having an influence when the grafts are outside of the body.
In order to allow grafts to remain in the body as long as possible, upon punching, Dr. Bisanga will leave grafts in the scalp until a later stage before physically extracting them and he has confidence that all such measures assist with and encourage early growth.

Thanks for finding the time to write a good explanation. The points you and Bigmac make and watching the attached video is really interesting and leaves me with no doubt that it plays a huge part.
I see so many of Dr Bisanga patients who have very early growth !!!
