Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)- technique called pointillism use tiny, follicle replicate dots in different shades of black to create natural looking blend of shadow on your scalp. Definition of full hair growth is created on head which seamlessly blend with rest of your natural hair.
Beautiful definition and depth is formed leaving long lasting results which gradually lighten, as skin exfoliates.
Typical results time frame for normal skin equal lasting up to 5 years time.
Complexion of skin, its type and hair density is taken into account when practitioner create perfect blend. Full process take up to 5 settings where on each one results are examined and carefully adjusted.

Scalp Micropigmentation is non invasive, 100% guaranteed results treatment with no downtime and immediate results. I think it can not be better option for men who does suffer from
-hairloss
-alopecia
-have thinning hair
-have scarring after FUE/FUT hair transplant

Why does the ink only last 5 years. I was under the impression the more permanent type of SMP was just that (permanent) and might need a top up every 5 yrs or so due to fading but not disappear completely which your post implies....unless I'm not understanding correctly which is highly likely with me these days haha.

Hi bullitnut,
Thank you for your query.
Your right-my post might be a bit confusing and it's not the fact that you do not get it properly :) I will try to explain it here.
The ink does not fade completely after this amount of time, it last longer. But the thing is when our skin its naturally exfoliating, colour gets lighter and lighter. After 8-10 years of time you should still see the result but only slightly shade of it. This is why we call it permanent but for everyone individual skin type and other factors such as sun, hormones etc. end result will work a bit different. We advertise procedure as lasting up to 5 years time, as usually after that timeframe you will need follow up session to darken the result and also blend area with new hairloss when it's still occurring. Adjusting the colour is always the most important factor when it comes to all Micropigmentation process- whether its permanent make up or scalp Micropigmentation. Even with tattoos you should still refresh ink after some time. And SMP is not implanted as deep into skin as normal tattoo- to avoid that blueish hue that is seen on old tattoos.
For scalp Pigmentation you will need that maintain session (which doesn't require as much settings as 1st time) to keep the results looking great all the time.
As I always say- it's safe to do less, instead overwork and cry after.
Many SMP has been done too deep in previous years as the technicians were still "experimenting" new treatment and now we have many removal cases. The same pattern was followed with that tattooed, block effect looking eyebrows. Now all techniques went forward and all well trained and after tons of work techs will know their job.
Hope that helps! Looking for your thoughts

Thanks for the reply that makes total sense and I agree completely. I think it's important though for people who have SMP to really let it fade significantly before they do opt for the top ups as I've seen people get top ups too regularly and it ends up looking awful and almost like they have a helmet on.....after all theres only so much scalp that can be covered before it looks too full if you get what I mean.....so best to let things fade well before adding the top up imo.

On a side note it must be rewarding helping guys with Alopecia like in the first picture.

Best wishes and

Thanks for answering:)
