Thanks, sam64 for your comments. Curly hair has good and bad characteristics when it comes to a hair transplant. From extraction, very curly hair is more demanding with either FUE or FUT, slightly less so with FUT. A wave or slight curl to the hair shaft can be beneficial to adding the illusion of fullness to a result, but when very curly the hair grows back on itself and covers less of an area. The correct angle is down to the angle the recipient site is made, then placed by the technician. Again, slightly easier with FUT as a small amount of hair shaft can be left and the lay of the hair seen under magnification when being placed, as to which way the hair grows.
