Got home an hour ago after a full day at the Hair DR. Just want to say the place is immaculate, staff and the surgeons are friendly and welcoming.
Dr Arshad has a genuine passion for the industry, he wants the best results for his clients and the care and attention flows throughout the business.

If you are considering a HT make sure the Hair Dr is on your list to research.

couple pics from after the work today. I will keep posting my progress.

Glad you had a good experience with The Hair Dr and team. Do you have any pics of your hair loss before the operation??

Good to hear everything went well and your home safely. A few nights of uncomfortable sleeping ahead but it soon passes.
I`ll look forward to following your journey.
All the best.

Thanks all @Baldingman23
Pics of before. The pics of hair are around 2 years ago. I have since had SMP, which looked great at first but it's starts to fade and is pretty obvious something isn't quite right. Anyway, Dr Arshad managed to cover all the SMP with the grafts which is a bonus;

Really happy with how the day went. Fine singles on the hair line, followed by 3 rows of singles, followed by 2's and 3's in the rest of the areas to add density. Hoping for a decent result. Along way to go yet but fingers crossed.

Not much change since yesterday. Bandage coming off later this evening.

Looking good. I was there on Monday and can echo a lot of that. Each day things get easier, just make sure you stick to the after care plan.

2nd day, donor and recipient. After 14 days I shall post abit less frequently as I'm sure people get bored of seeing little to no change. Also not sure why the pictures flip around. Mind of its own :/

5th day. Really looking forward to my first head wash on the 7th day and being able to sleep on my side. All looking well so far. Anti swelling meds have given me a couple of crap night's sleep and gut rot, but other than that everything is honkey dorey.

You look to be healing well at 5 days. 2 more days to go for that hair wash which will make you feel refreshed.

The donor looks to be healing quite nicely. A few more days for the scabs to eventually go. How did it feel having that first hair wash?

day of op Vs 9th day. Decided to give the donor abit of a shave today to try gauge scaring. The extractions went down to where the white line is. Minimal scaring at a 0 guard just abit pinkish. Trim wasnt blended in at time of picture but is blended now. . Just posting for anyone else that has concerns about scaring. Everyone is different, I'm fair skinned so YMMV in terms of scaring

Hi CrankySysadmin, just posted (newbie) about Hair Dr. I’ve read good things about the clinic and seriously considering going to them. Would you recommend them ? My big worry is the donor / scarring. Is it very noticeable? Your pics have helped heaps.

Hello @Wetbandits, I am glad the posts are helping. Its exactly the kind of information I was searching for when researching. My scaring is almost non existent after shaving down to skin today. I am the kind of guy that likes a skin fade and was terrified that I was going to have to keep my hair at a grade 4 on the back and sides to hide the scars and it really put me off. Depending on your skin type and hair colour you may get away with being able to get an ultra close cut on the back on sides, but as I say everyone is different so please keep that in mind.

Search for a channel on YouTube called My Fue Journey. He's an Aussie guy that has documented his progress every month from when he had his operation done in early 2020 and has similar skin and hair colour to me, after seeing his 12 month results (they are pretty amazing results) and him showing his donor area I decided to just go for it. In terms of the Hair Dr. You will be looked after and the whole team will work to give you the best results possible. I'd recommend booking a consultation with them over WhatsApp video. Message me if you are unsure on anything and I will help where I can as I know it can be pretty daunting. Best of luck.

Thanks for getting back @CrankySysadmin .. looking through the posts of people who have been to the hair dr seems all positive. The whole process Is a massive worry from the travelling to the actual procedure then the recovery. I’m glad it’s all been positive for you as that gives me confidence. Your donor area looks unreal. I’d love the same outcome. My hair is brown and skin colour is pretty much like yours. I’m hoping 2 weeks off work will be enough time for me to heal and hair to grow back at the donor area so no one will notice but not sure if that’s enough time ?

ill check that YouTube video out thanks again
